Artaine Harte SRN Dip A Phys. Physiotherapy for Animals in Cirencester, Stroud & surrounding areas
I offer a professional friendly effective service specializing in small animal physiotherapy (for your pet: dogs, cats and other companion animals). As a member of RAMP and IAAT, membership requires compliance with their professional standards including being fully qualified and insured to provide animal physiotherapy to your pet. Both associations are recognized by most major insurance companies. Animal physiotherapy treatments can only be carried out under the referral of a veterinary surgeon in respect of The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 1962.
The practice is based in and around Cirencester and Stroud, but covers a wide area including Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon, Wiltshire and West Oxfordshire.
A full treatment will assess your animals gait, mobility, muscle balance, muscle, tendon and ligament elasticity and strength, joint and limb flexibility and range of movement and over all suppleness.
Physiotherapy can be of benefit pre and post operatively, for neurological and orthopaedic conditions, for acute or chronic conditions.
As am animal physiotherapist, I encourage each owner to participate in the therapy their pet is receiving, this often involves learning basic massage skills so that they can to continue their pet's therapy at home.
'My 10 yr old Black Labrador called Archie developed osteoarthritis which effected his Rt shoulder and both hips with marked muscle wastage.
My Vet suggested physiotherapy, so I took him to Artaine Harte at Gloucestershire Small Animal Physiotherapist. This I did approx 3 months ago and he has improved immensely over this time , now acting like a 6 yr old and much happier in him self.
I can not speak highly enough about the care he has been given, Artaine is so professional and at the same time takes the time to explains everything she does and the continued care as an owner she suggests you continue between treatments. She provides a very comprehensive report after each visit which is so helpful to monitor progress.
For any owner who has a dog with Archie’s problems I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Artaine. K. George.
